A conveniently located branch of Fukuoka's most famous yakitori restaurant, Hachibei serves top-quality charcoal-grilled skewers along with appetizing side dishes. In Fukuoka "yakitori" means more than just chicken, and popular items here include pork belly, beef skirt steak and pig's feet. Skewers are served Fukuoka-style, on a bed of vinegared raw cabbage.

Various set menus are available, or you can order a la carte by the skewer. The drinks list is strongest in the shochu department, but there's also a small but well-chosen sake selection.
