Open 11am-11pm (LO) daily.
Sun: Open Sundays

This lively izakaya in the basement of Kitte Hakata is a great place to explore premium sake from around Japan, with reasonably priced three-part tasting flights a popular option. The expansive food menu covers a lot of ground, from grilled meats and assorted mackerel dishes (they're a specialty of the kitchen) to izakaya standards like kakuni (braised pork belly), spicy chicken wings and potato salad.

If you're mainly here to imbibe, there's a good selection of sake-drinking snacks like seared mentaiko, sake-marinated cream cheese and assorted pickles. Budget around Y3000 at dinnertime for ample food and drink.
