Calico
Kichijoji: Cat cafe
Calico (Kichijoji: Cat cafe)
Calico
Open 11am-10pm (LO) daily.
Sun: Open Sundays

The best thing about Calico, one of Tokyo's very first cat cafes, is that there are plenty of cats to go around - some 24 at last count. Perhaps because of the high cat-to-human ratio, the cats here seem more relaxed and more pettable than average. There's a nice mix of exotic and more common breeds, most of them very photogenic.

Drinks here are optional, and cat snacks are available for Y300. The snacks are strips of boiled chicken breast, and they proved to be popular with the cats even directly after their regular dinnertime.
