Day 4 (later):
Hirosaki
Day 4 (later)
After Kitchiya
we needed some
exercise to work
off all that
pasta, so after
a few semi-in-
ebriated rounds
of bowling we
headed of in
search of more
refreshment.
Kuroistki is a
new place that
was opened a few
months ago by
the two charming
ladies who run
the bar. Nice
lighting and
very reasonable
drinks. So good
we stayed until
4am. A great
little oasis in
the jungle of
"snack bars" and
karaoke joints
that fill up
much of the
downtown area.
Kuroistki. Hiro-
saki, Shinkaji-
machi 65,
Shinjuku-centre,

Nobody makes
good dietary
decisions at
4am, so to avoid
breaking this
rule we ended up
in a local ramen
place scoffing
down the calo-
ries. If you
like your late-
night ramen
places rough and
dirty, then
Totori Noodle
will be right up
your street. The
shio and tantan-
men were fantas-
tic. Totori
Noodle is a
great place to
spend some time
sobering up a
little while
watching the
creatures of the
night pour in
after a hard
night of serving
up "snacks" and
"massages".
Totori Noodle.
It's next door
to Kuroistki,
you can't miss
it.
