Day 2

After waking up
around 10am I
made a search
for the nearest
Starbucks to
kick start the
day. Unfortu-
nately the fur-
ther away from
Tokyo we go the
lower the
chances of find-
ing a half de-
cent cup of
coffee, and I
had to make do
with Doutor.
Anyway, after
the sound check
at the venue we
decided that
Chinese would be
the order of the
day. The local
crew at the
venue advised us
to head to a
restaurant
called Yamagata
Goju-ban Hanten.
This turned out
to be very good
advice. Goju-ban
serves enormous
portions at a
reasonable
price. The jaja-
men was excel-
lent, as was the
shumai. If you
have just
stopped off the
train in Yamaga-
ta this is a
perfect place to
grab a bite to
eat, as it is
about two min-
utes from the
station.
