At least on paper,
this new barbecue
spot offers a very
similar-looking menu
and presentation to
Smokehouse in Hara-
juku. Here's the
cornbread, here's a
tiny dish of mac 'n'
cheese, and look,
you can choose from
four different bar-
becue sauces in
plastic squeeze
bottles. In spite of
having three hungry
barbecue lovers at
our table though,
nobody bothered to
finish the rather
mediocre mac 'n'
cheese, and we were
informed that no, we
couldn't have butter
for our rather dry
cornbread.

On a positive note,
combo platters of
three, four and five
meats (plus side
dishes) provide a
substantial amount
of food, although
the quality varies
somewhat from item
to item. There are a
few craft beers on
tap, but they're
nearly all from
Baird Brewery, which
also runs a bar
about five minutes
away. We did enjoy
some Lagunitas IPA
on tap, and there
are some
interesting-looking
cocktails.

The spacious dining
room is fairly com-
fortable. Budget
around Y3000-3500 at
dinnnertime.
