Dekoboko Kitchen/
Takadanobaba: Cafe

€Data
A charming little
backstreet cafe,
Dekoboko serves
well-executed, up-
to-date versions of
coffeeshop standards
like chicken cutlet,
ginger pork and
hayashi rice at
lunchtime, with an
eclectic world-music
soundtrack in the
background. In the
evenings there's a
wider food menu and
Italian wines start-
ing at Y2000 per
bottle.

Some dinnertime
highlights include a
good bagna cauda-
style vegetable
platter (Y1200), and
a roast pork platter
- two hefty chunks
of very flavorful
meat served with
potatoes and vegeta-
bles (Y1200). You
can also opt for
reasonably priced
pastas, pizzas and
risottos, and vari-
ous tapas-style
small plates for
Y500 each.

If you're not in the
mood for wine
there's a good se-
lection of coffees
and teas, including
fruit-infused herb
teas. Budget around
Y2500-4000 at din-
nertime.
