brewed in the U.
S.A., the
attractive
bottle makes it
look like a
typical Japanese
microbeer, with
the added touch
of a cap label
bearing the
freshness date.
Dark yellow with
a short-lived
white head. High
clarity
indicates strong
filtering. Rich
and spicy malt
aroma, with
strong yet blunt
hop tones. Full-
bodied for a
lager, with a
strong malt
flavor that
lacks
complexity.
Heavy tang
lingers long as
hop bitterness
emerges. Hops
lack crispness
and definition.
Overall effect
is like a
heavier Yebisu,
and seems to
have been brewed
for the Japanese
market.
