This is one of a
huge chain of
Chimney
Japanese-style
pub restaurants
in Tokyo and
surrounding
prefectures. All
of the Gotemba
Kogen Beers are
featured here,
including a good
Weizen, and a
clean Pilsner.
Most types of
Japanese pub
foods are served
here, and prices
are shockingly
low, almost in
the fast-food
range. For
example, a
scallop shell
full of raw
scallops and
minced fresh
wasabi shoots is
only 250 yen,
yet the quality
is quite good.
Most other
dishes are in
the 280 to 580
yen range. Best
of all, there is
a 4 to 6 pm
"happy hour"
every day, when
all Gotemba
Kogen Beers are
just 100 yen per
glass, making it
the best craft
beer bargain in
Tokyo. Just
outside the west
side
Metropolitan
exit of
Ikebukuro
station. There
