blonde Belgian
ale that is
right at home in
a small French
bistro. It looks
like ordinary
lager beer, but
has about 9%
alcohol, so slip
slowly and
carefully. It
has a dry,
fruity aroma
with some herbal
hop highlights,
with a strong
malty flavor
with a sweetness
that quickly
fades into a
long, dry
finish. Not as
complex or
unusual as other
Belgian ales, so
it is easy to
match with food.
Ideal as an
alternative to
wine with a slow
Sunday brunch.
